| CONTROL OF THE HYDRIC RESOURCES OF THE MOUNTAIN OF THE TRAMONTANA |

This project, has been made like part of the water supply to the City of Palma de Mallorca and the cities of its surroundings. EYP SCAP is installing at the present time the system of control of the water resources of the Mountain of the Tramontana in the island of Majorca.
This project has a couple of special details from the point of view of the control and the communications. The point where the water is picked up in the base of the Mountain of the Tramontana is a point only reachable by the sea. This point was chosen because rainwater, mainly in winter, falls in this point and was lost on the sea.
In order to give communications coverage on this point, a satellite has been used as long as no other way was possible.
Once the water has been recovered, it is introduced on a submarine pipe and transported till the Deposit of Soller. There it is joined with the water coming of the local water plant and it is conducted by means of a pipe until the rest of the installation.
The water is stored on a natural depot at the phreatic level in S¨Estremera. This water is recovered from this site at summer time when it is more needed.
All the resources on this installation are controlled from a central station.
